rocker chicks at a show Here's the part where we talk about ourselves a bit

For over a decade, Supernova has been at the forefront of the indie music scene; producing shows and promoting independent talent. Founders Elliott Hurst and Sandy Hurst started Supernova back in 1992 to provide bands with their first opportunity to play a live show. Thousands of bands have since competed in Supernova’s trademarked Battle of the Bands®. Canadian acts like Billy Talent, Sum 41, and Three Days Grace have rocked a Supernova stage before hitting the world stage.

Supernova’s website Supernova.com is the only online community which actively promotes its bands by producing live events to showcase their talents. A hub for all music enthusiasts, Supernova.com lets bands, fans, and industry pros connect in a dynamic social network. Bands sign-up to play shows, fans discover new music and industry professionals discover new talent. The site boasts more than 125,000 members and is home to over 15,000 bands.

Supernova has 15 years of experience working in over 30 markets in North America while operating from its Toronto headquarters. In 2006, Supernova took its brand across the border into new major US markets including New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. To date, Supernova has produced over 2000 shows all across North America. What began as a way to help a friend’s band play a gig has become the reason for Supernova’s expertise and success.
